Inspiration || Choose Happiness

Question one... What makes you happy? Like really happy? I'll give you a second to think about that...

Ok got it?

Question two... If you lost that thing, what would you do? Would you choose to be happy? Or just sulk forever?

I have been thinking about this, like a lot. I feel like to majority of people just choose to be upset about every single little thing that goes wrong. Now, I know sometimes big things go wrong or important things get screwed up but we cannot let that color how we handle things or how we act.

"Never let another person steal your joy. It is the most beautiful thing about you"

One of my friends said this to me a few years ago and it stuck like nothing else ever has.

I truly believe that we can choose happiness in ANY situation, regardless of the circumstances. Yes, I know we have down days sometimes, but DO NOT let it consume you, DO NOT let it become who you are, and DO NOT let it steal your joy.

When I have those "are you serious?!" moments, I try to remember that every single thing happens for a reason. For the most part, we don't know what those reasons are or we just dont understand why it had to happen that way but guess what...? It happened. It happened and now you have a HUGE decision to make.

Are you going to choose happiness or not?

You have one life, why not live it in happiness?

Bleries || Summer Time

Another semester is over and summer is here!

While here in Florida, it's summer pretty much all the time, there is nothing better than being done with classes and hitting the beach for no reason at all!

I have decided that since this summer is going to be an extra special one (all my friends are graduating college and there are some BIG things on the horizon) I am going to do a summer blog series, a bleries if you will ;)

I want to post fashion things, random things, beauty things, anything SUMMER!

This summer is going to be a crazy one and I want to take you all along for the ride!

So buckle up, its gonna get wild.

Obsession || DIY Fever!

Hello my name is Liz and I am an addict. A DIY ADDICT.

It all started about a year ago when I spotted some beauties on ISpyDIY and I thought, "I could do that!", so I did!

Here are some of my most recent DIYs

I saw the tutorial for this here (via pinterest) and thought it was GENIOUS! I don't know who the original creator of that was but I applaud them!

I wanted a glitter phone case, like a lot. Every time I would look through etsy or Amazon, I couldn't find one I liked and when I did it usually came with a hefty price tag. So I grabbed the Mod Podge and glitter and glittered an old case (any myself in the process).

Ever since I saw Miley's instagram with her studded phone case, I obsessed over it. I had to figure out how to get it without paying upwards of $30 BUCKS (yeah no) So I bought pyramid studs off Amazon (here) and bought an (at the time) 50 cent phone case and went to town. 

This one took...forever. Well probably like an hour or so but it felt like forever. I saw the tutorial for this here and fell in loveeeeeee! 

I got the idea for this one from a pinterest post (It didn't have an original source:/). I had been wanting a makeup brush holder but couldn't find anything I loved. In the picture they were painted gold but I chose a matte black and they turned out beautiful! I even keep 2 in my kit!

Those are just a few of my projects. I love finding new things to craft and create, it is so much fun!! I have an entire pinterest board dedicated to DIY (not to mention my 10+ other boards...yes I have a problem).

AH! So, I'm starting a blog.

So, I have always wanted to do this. I had a youtube channel for a little while but wasn't really prepared for what that entailed soooo, that ended. Plus, I didn't really know who I was back then. Honestly I had no idea, haha. Today, I have a little more of a grasp on it, not completely haha but, it's getting there:)
As my first post, I think I am just gonna tell you about me!

My name is Liz! I am a junior(ish) in college, but I am going to be there forever. I am studying Event management, Hospitality, and Entrepreneurship (hence why I am going to be there forever). I chose all of those focuses because my dream is to own my own wedding planning business some day. Weddings are truly my passion. I am in love with the love, so after trial and error (lots of error) I decided weddings was where I wanted to spend the rest of my life! 

I am a freelance makeup artist. About 3 years ago, I decided that I wanted to go to cosmetology school and become a makeup artist. Now don't get me wrong, I love all things makeup and beauty but, after some thinking and getting to know some people, I figured out being a full time makeup artist was not what I thought it would be. I still love being a makeup artist though, just not all the time. I do bridal makeup and prom makeup still but just on the side:) 

I also have been blessed with some of the best friends ever, in the world, hands down. They inspire me, they let me be myself, they are weird and crazy, and fun, anddddd perfect. 

So about this blog... I'm not gonna lie. It's gonna be a little bit of everything. Weddings, makeup, personal stuff, pointless chatting, I'm not going to put a limit on it.

So, here we go!
